Recently, Caverna Abismal Records have announced yet another arrival to their roster, which deserves a special attention. If you’ve followed the Google+ updates for a while, you may remember Tod Huetet Uebel – a Portuguese black metal duo that has established quite a presence in the underground with their phenomenal works of absolute madness and nihilism.
“N.A.D.A.” keeps up the so-called tradition of Tod Huetet Uebel of delving into the darkest corners of the human mind and shed light onto the most gruesome thoughts that one could ever have. Like exemplifying mental illness as art and projecting the levels of its extremity through music, these 21 minutes of rough journey will terrify you to an unimaginable degree. Now, although I hate comparisons, I strongly believe that the band has been heavily influenced by the legacy of Bethlehem.
There are some similarities speaking of the arrangements, production as well as the vocal approach, which is not a bad thing, to be honest. I’ve been looking for bands that could try on depicting the early vibe of Bethlehem and expand on it, and Tod Huetet Uebel succeeded flawlessly.
Anyway, the 2-piece EP “N.A.D.A.” is coming out in just a little over a month. The exact day is 31st May and pre-orders of the physical issue have been already initiated on Bandcamp. So far it is clear that is going to be spread on Digisleeve CD but I’d advise you to get in touch with Caverna Abismal Records in case you are looking for more info on the future releases.
