In today’s installment, I’d like to present the very talented gentleman Arthur Kornovics and his breathtaking photo shoots. He hails from Romania; a country that’s well known for its haunting legends and stunning nature inspiring hundreds, if not thousands of people everyday. He’s been kind enough to let us take a look behind the lenses of his camera and share an insight about his passion.
I’ve had a small interest in photography when I was in high school. The school itself had a dark room for developing and my first teacher who also was my geography teacher and with whom I travelled so much the mountains in that period, also introduced me to some secrets regarding photography in the 90’s. Somehow, this love for nature and photography ultimately led me to where I am now – a student who became so passionate about revealing to the world in my own way; sometimes in a darker, otherwise in a surreal way.
What seemed at first as just the beginning of a hobby, now turns out to be something I long for, something I desire to do, learn more and become the photographer I desire to be. I don’t have a specific genre in which I can say I feet better. I experience almost everything from concert photography to portraits and landscapes. Post-processing and editing is as important and if I feel the picture has the emotion I’m looking for, only then I’m satisfied with the end result.
Finding your own style requires a long time of self discovery including your inner emotions, how you relate with the surroundings of a specific or unspecific landscape or moment and how to reveal it to the world. What I’ve learned so far is that photography enhances your appreciation for life because through your lenses you can actually see something that usually the eye overlooks or even, never sees.
